Highlighting MSME Products, Deputy Minister Dyah Encourages Continuation of Moringa Product Exports

Labuan Bajo, tvOnenews.com – The working visit of the Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, to Labuan Bajo on Tuesday and Wednesday (July 22–23, 2025) aimed to highlight export opportunities for both seafood and MSME products. One product that caught Dyah’s attention was moringa-based products.

Dyah and her team visited a moringa product gallery named New Eden Moringa in Labuan Bajo. She observed various moringa products, ranging from beverages to beauty care items.

“We appreciate that all components used are natural and the packaging is also very good,” Dyah said while holding one of New Eden Moringa’s products.

She stated that one of the main pillars of the Ministry of Trade is to ensure that Indonesian MSMEs can penetrate international markets. Dyah regretted that moringa products from Labuan Bajo, which were once exported, had to stop in 2022.

“We hope that in the future, exports can resume and continue,” she said.

Aside from moringa products, export activities in Labuan Bajo have not been carried out during 2025. This was confirmed by the Deputy Regent of West Manggarai, Yulianus Weng, who noted that exports included both seafood and MSME products.

“Last year, even before there were international flights, there were several fish exports from Labuan Bajo,” he added.

Weng emphasized that the government will continue to build communication and coordination between agencies and companies to ensure that export activities from Labuan Bajo can be resumed.
