Manggarai Barat – Deputy Minister of Trade (Wamendag) Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri was impressed with moringa leaf–based products and other natural ingredients produced by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). She believes products such as tea, skincare, and others from New Eden Moringa are worthy of export.

“This product is called New Eden Moringa — they have tea, skincare, and they’ve just launched new items. First of all, we must give appreciation because all the components they use are natural, nature ingredients,” Dyah said after visiting New Eden Moringa on Tuesday afternoon (July 22, 2025).

She added, “Secondly, the packaging is already very good and it is export-worthy,” said the Golkar Party politician.

Dyah explained that one of the pillars of the Ministry of Trade is enabling Indonesian MSME products to penetrate international markets. “MSMEs can export. This is our hope,” said the former member of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

“It was also mentioned earlier that in 2022 exports were carried out to several countries, including New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore. Our hope is that in 2025, 2026, and onwards, these exports will continue,” Dyah said.

The Deputy Minister noted that the Ministry of Trade has a Business Matching Program in collaboration with local governments to help MSME products reach export markets. The program facilitates online meetings between MSMEs and potential overseas buyers.

“We have several facilities and programs that can be collaborated on with the local government in Labuan Bajo, NTT — one of them is business matching, which we carry out daily with our trade representatives in 33 countries,” Dyah explained.

“Later, we will simply identify which countries need wellness products (from New Eden Moringa) like these so we can send products according to global market demand. Of course, the performance and cooperation between the central and local governments are very important and must be encouraged,” Dyah added.
